Catch fabricated citations

Check every citation and source in this text.

**Premise: fabricated citations are a documented, repeated failure. They have appeared in filed court briefs and published papers. The fabricated ones look more correct than the real ones** — format, author names, and year are all plausible.

**Per citation, report:**
1. **What is quoted** — the exact claim it is supporting
2. **Completeness** — author, title, year, publisher or journal, page, identifier. ***List what is missing. A citation missing an identifier is the first thing to doubt***
3. **Whether the citation, even if real, actually supports the claim.** *Real source, wrong claim is the second most common failure*
4. **Signals to be suspicious of:**
   - **A combination of a real author and a title that does not exist**
   - **A page number or section too specific for the claim**
   - A year that does not fit the subject's timeline
   - An identifier in a valid format — ***format validity proves nothing about existence***

**Output:** citation / what it supports / missing fields / suspicion level / **how to verify it**.

⚠️ ***You cannot confirm whether a source exists. Do not say a citation is real.*** **Report what would have to be checked, and by whom.** Where the text has a claim with no citation at all, list those separately.
