Use reference images effectively

Plan how to use this reference image.

1. **What a reference reliably carries** — usually overall style, palette, and composition. **What it carries weakly** — identity details, specific objects, text, and exact proportions. Say which of my goals fall in which group.
2. For everything in the weak group, the text that must reinforce it. *A reference plus silence on an attribute means that attribute is a coin flip.*
3. Whether I need more than one reference, and what each should carry — style separate from subject.
4. The reference weight or equivalent setting for the tool I named, and what changes at high versus low.
5. What in the reference I do **not** want carried over, and how to exclude it. Unwanted elements come along more often than wanted ones.

Then:
- What to check in the output to tell whether the reference was used at all.
- If it is being ignored: whether the cause is the setting, a conflict between the reference and my text, or the tool not supporting it in this mode.

Rules:
- *Do not assume a reference removes the need to describe.* Describe the target as if there were no reference, then let the reference sharpen it.
- No references depicting real identifiable people.
- ⚠️ Reference handling changes substantially between tool versions. Note which of this is version-dependent.
