Plan an appendix ordered by what gets asked

Plan the appendix for this deck.

***The appendix is not where cut material goes to be buried. It is what I reach for when someone asks.***

1. **Go through what was cut** and sort:
   - **Likely to be asked about** — ***appendix, and I should know where it is without looking***
   - **Proves something in the main deck** — ***appendix, and referenced from the slide it supports***
   - **Interesting and unasked** — ***cut entirely.* **It is weight**
2. **What is not in the deck at all and should be in the appendix** — ***the working behind a number, the method, the excluded cases.* **Whatever a sceptical person would ask for**
3. **Order it by likelihood of being asked**, ***not by the order of the main deck***
4. **Label each so I can find it while someone is waiting** — ***a number I can jump to***
5. **Which appendix slides are actually the answer to a hard question** — ***say which question***

**Then:**
- **What belongs in the appendix versus in a separate document** — *an appendix longer than the deck is a document*
- ***What to have open in another window rather than in the deck***
- **What I should be able to answer without any slide**
