Plan for things going wrong on a trip

Build the plan for when something goes wrong. ***Make it usable by someone who is stressed and has no internet.***

**Per scenario, keep it to a few lines:**
1. **Passport or ID lost or stolen** — ***first call, what is needed, where to go***
2. **Cards lost or blocked** — ***how to get money, and what the backup is if the phone is gone too***
3. **Phone lost** — ***what I lose access to.* **Anything needing two-factor becomes unreachable** — say what to arrange before leaving
4. **Ill or injured** — ***who to contact, what the insurance requires, what to keep***
5. **Transport cancelled or missed** — who is responsible, what to claim, what to keep
6. **Separated from who I am travelling with** — ***a meeting point and a time, agreed in advance***

**Then:**
- ***What to prepare before leaving*** — **copies, where to keep them separately, what to write down offline, who at home holds what**
- **A one-page card to carry** — the numbers and addresses that matter, ***on paper***
- ***The order to do things in*** for each scenario. **Under stress, the order is what people get wrong**

⚠️ ***Do not state embassy addresses, emergency numbers, insurance procedures, or hotline numbers from memory*** — **a wrong number in an emergency is a serious harm.** **Write `[look up and write down before departure]`** and say where to find each. ***Do not give medical or legal instructions.***
