Rewrite a document for a specific reader

Rewrite this document so that the reader given below can understand it.

Do:
1. Replace technical vocabulary. Where a term cannot be replaced, keep it and gloss it in one line at first use.
2. Break up long sentences.
3. Unpack stacked conditions and exceptions into a list.
4. You may change the structure. Reorder into the sequence the reader will want.
